HCA Richmond Sponsors 6th Annual Healthy Lifestyle Expo
Fitness Guru Kathy Smith to Lead Group Exercise Session
(RICHMOND, VA) February 14, 2008 HCA Richmond Health System, in partnership with CBS-6, brings the 6th Annual Healthy Lifestyle Expo back to the Richmond International Raceway, Exhibition Hall, on Saturday, March 8th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
HCA Richmond health experts will be on hand to discuss heart health, cancer prevention and treatment, joint pain, womens health and other health issues. HCAs free screenings include carotid artery doppler (stroke) and peripheral arterial disease (heart disease) for those at risk, as well as blood pressure, body mass index, glucose, PSA (prostate specific antigen), cholesterol, colon cancer (take-home kit), skin cancer, and other tests.
More than 75 exhibitors will also be on hand sharing information on health and wellness. Other activities include fitness demonstrations, healthy cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, a soccer kick competition hosted by the Richmond Kickers, and a jump rope competition for kids.
This years fitness expert is Kathy Smith, who has shared state-of-the-art techniques for nutrition and weight management through bestselling exercise videos and books for more than 20 years. President of Kathy Smith Lifestyles, Smith has appeared on The Today Show, CNN, Oprah, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, and various magazine covers, such as Shape, Fitness, and Women's World sharing her fitness expertise. Smith will lead group exercises and sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m.
